Join your neighbors for a nonpartisan, community-wide reading of the United States Constitution. Following guidelines from the National Constitution Center, participants will each read a short passage aloud — bringing our founding document to life, one voice at a time.

  • Read a Short Passage

    Each participant reads one or more short passages — a sentence or clause — aloud. No memorization needed.

  • Assigned by the Organizer

    Sections will be assigned after signup — just sign up and show up. The organizer handles the rest.

  • Nonpartisan & Educational

    The reading follows the NCC's approach: separating political views from constitutional views, emphasizing civil dialogue.

  • Printed Copies Provided

    Printed copies of the Constitution will be provided. Pocket constitutions will be handed out to keep.

  • No Preparation Required

    No prior knowledge or preparation needed — just your voice and curiosity.

Welcome & Context

~10 Minutes

Brief introduction to the Constitution and the reading format. Setting the stage for our shared civic experience.

Community Reading

~30–45 Minutes

Participants read assigned passages aloud in sequence, bringing the full text of the Constitution to life together.

Reflection & Discussion

~15 Minutes

Open discussion following NCC civil dialogue principles. A chance to share reflections and questions.
